The Podiatry Service at The John Anthony Centre is seeking a skilled, well-motivated Administrative Assistant to join our friendly and dedicated administrative team.

This is a 30 hour post, though part-time hours will be considered for the right candidate, with a minimum of 25 hours.

You will work closely with--and be fully supported by--our experienced administrator within a well-established service based at Kidderminster Health Centre.

We are looking for an individual who is self-driven, reliable, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Strong communication skills and a positive, proactive approach are essential.

You will receive full Trust and Service Induction, along with ongoing guidance and supervision from our existing team to help you settle into the role and develop confidently.

We are committed to supporting flexible working and are happy to discuss working patterns that meet individual needs while ensuring the smooth running of the service

Applicants must read the attached guidance notes before submitting your application for full understanding of Trust requirements.

Main duties of the job

A role in our team offers a welcoming, supportive environment where your contribution truly matters. Each day brings variety and purpose: you'll handle and organise incoming and outgoing mail, respond to emails promptly, speak with patients, carers and colleagues over the phone, process referrals, book appointments for the clinical team, arrange home visits, maintain supplies, and carry out a range of general administrative tasks that keep the service running smoothly.

You'll be based in a friendly office setting, working closely with our podiatrists to ensure their clinical day flows effortlessly. From coordinating referrals and appointments to providing practical support throughout the day, you'll play a key part in helping them deliver excellent patient care.

Although you'll work independently, you'll always have guidance from the senior administrator and strong connections with the wider admin team across community podiatry. It's a place where people look out for one another, share knowledge, and collaborate to make the service the best it can be.
