Cookie policy

The cookies BOQQS sets, what each one is for, and how to turn the optional ones off.

A cookie is a small file a site stores in your browser. We use as few as we can get away with.

Strictly necessary

These keep the site working and cannot be switched off. They remember your cookie preference and protect forms against cross-site request forgery. They set no identifiers we can use to track you across other sites.

Analytics

These tell us which listings get opened and which searches return nothing, so we know what to fix. They are only set if you accept them, and the data is aggregated.

We use Google Analytics, which sets cookies named _ga and _ga_* to recognise a returning browser and stores the data on Google's servers. Nothing is requested from Google until you accept: reject, and the tag is never loaded and no cookie is written. We also use Vercel Analytics, which counts page views without cookies and without identifying you, so it runs either way.

Local storage

Saved listings are held in your browser's local storage rather than a cookie. That data never leaves your device and is cleared when you clear site data.

Managing cookies

You can change your mind at any time through your browser settings, which let you block or delete cookies for any site. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the site working.
