Senior Radiographer (Mammography) - Band 7

West of London Breast Screening Service is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Radiographer to join our dedicated, patient-focused team delivering high-quality breast screening and assessment services across multiple sites.

You will be a qualified Radiographer (DCR or BSc) with current HCPC registration and a PgCert (or equivalent) in Mammography at Master's level from a recognised training centre. You will bring strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills and the ability to work autonomously across busy clinical environments.

This is a varied and rewarding role working across our static units, assessment clinics and mobile screening locations including Charing Cross Hospital, Northwick Park Hospital, Edgware Hospital, St Mary's Hospital, Hanwell Health Centre, Uxbridge Health Centre, Hounslow Centre for Health and other sites as required. The role requires flexibility to work across multiple sites within the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust, including providing cross-site cover to breast screening services as service needs dictate.

Main duties of the job

As a Senior Radiographer, you will play a key role in delivering specialist mammography within the NHS Breast Screening Programme. You will operate digital mammography and stereo-tactic biopsy equipment, perform high-quality diagnostic imaging and support interventional procedures including breast biopsies. You will work within national QA standards, ensuring excellent image quality and low technical recall rates and acting as Lead Radiographer when required.

They may also be asked to support wider operational tasks essential to the effective running of the breast screening service.
