Duties:

  • Ensure the development remains compliant with relevant building safety, health and safety, and statutory requirements.

  • Oversee fire safety procedures, risk assessments, inspections and compliance documentation.

  • Maintain accurate records of statutory inspections, certifications and remedial works.

  • Work closely with contractors and relevant stakeholders to identify and resolve compliance issues.

  • Lead, motivate and manage the onsite team, ensuring consistently high standards of performance.

  • Oversee staff training, appraisals, performance management and daily operational requirements.

  • Manage external contractors and service providers, monitoring performance and ensuring works are completed efficiently.

  • Assist with contractor tendering, contract reviews and ensuring value for money.

  • Build and maintain positive relationships with residents, resident representatives and other key stakeholders.

  • Communicate effectively with residents and stakeholders regarding operational matters, maintenance works and development updates.

  • Attend meetings where required, providing updates on building operations, compliance and ongoing projects.

  • Manage resident enquiries and complaints professionally, ensuring timely and effective resolutions.

  • Assist with preparing, reviewing and monitoring annual budgets and service charge expenditure.

  • Monitor operational costs, contractor expenditure and financial performance.

  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency while maintaining high service standards.

  • Proven experience as a Development Manager, Building Manager, Estate Manager or similar role within residential property management.

  • Strong understanding of building compliance, health and safety legislation and statutory requirements.

  • Experience managing onsite teams, contractors and service providers.

  • Confident working with residents, resident committees and senior stakeholders.

  • Experience overseeing PPM schedules, risk assessments and building maintenance.

  • Good understanding of budgets, service charges and financial reporting.
