Remuneration: £45,000 - £50,000neg

The role of the Estimator – Steel Fabrication will involve:

• Estimator position overseeing a range of heavy & light steelwork projects
• Lead end-to-end tendering process, including take-offs, pricing, submission, and handover
• Prepare accurate cost estimates using drawings, specifications, and estimating software
• Manage and track tender opportunities, ensuring timely follow-ups to maximise conversions
• Engage with clients and contractors through site visits, technical input, and value engineering to support bids
• Collaborate with internal teams, lead handovers, and mentor junior estimators to strengthen delivery and capability
• Oversee projects typically up to £10m in value

The ideal applicant will be an Estimator – Steel Fabrication with:

• Must have Estimating experience within the structural steelwork or related sectors (industrial doors, fabrication, temporary buildings, SFS, architectural metal, steelwork)
• Ideal for a candidate to have experience dealing with a Main-contractor
• Excellent communication skills across all levels both written and verbal
• Confident individual that can deal with any problems that occur on site
• Must be a hard worker that’s ready to get stuck in
• High levels of organisation
• Computer Literate (Microsoft Office)
