Class 2 Multi-Drop Driver

Location: Theale, Berkshire
Salary: £37,000 - £40,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Hours: 06:30 - 15:30, Monday to Friday (1-hour unpaid break)
Overtime: Paid in addition to contracted hours

About the Role

We are recruiting on behalf of a busy and well-established distribution company based in Theale. An experienced Class 2 Multi-Drop Driver is required to join the team, ensuring the safe and timely delivery of products to customers across the region.

This is a customer-facing role that requires excellent driving skills, strong attention to detail, and a professional approach when representing the business. Working hours are initially 06:30 to 15:30; however, flexibility is required as operational demands may occasionally necessitate changes to start and finish times.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled multi-drop deliveries in a safe and efficient manner.
• Ensure deliveries are completed within agreed timescales.
• Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any defects promptly.
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation and records.
• Deliver exceptional customer service at all times.
• Adhere to all road transport legislation, company policies, and health & safety procedures.
• Support warehouse and operational activities as required.
• Work independently while demonstrating initiative and problem-solving skills.
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues and contribute positively to the wider team.

Requirements

Essential:

• Minimum 2 years' experience driving a Class 2 (Category C) vehicle.
• Valid Driver CPC qualification.
• Current Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
• Previous multi-drop delivery experience.
• Strong understanding of delivery schedules and route planning.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Professional and customer-focused approach.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexible attitude towards working hours and duties.
• Full UK Driving Licence with fewer than 3 penalty points.

Desirable:

• Additional experience in a busy distribution or logistics environment.
