Mechanical / Hydraulic Technician (x2)

Location: Aberdeenshire
Salary: £39,000 - £49,000 DOE
Hours: 40 hours per week (8:00am - 4:30pm)

A well-established engineering company is looking to recruit two Mechanical / Hydraulic Technicians to support a growing workload across a range of sectors including energy, renewables, marine and industrial applications.

This is an excellent opportunity for practical, hands-on engineers who enjoy fault-finding, equipment refurbishment and working on varied technical projects. Whether your background is predominantly mechanical or hydraulic, training and development opportunities are available for candidates with the right attitude and aptitude.

The Role

• Inspect, dismantle, diagnose, repair and rebuild mechanical and hydraulic equipment
• Assemble, install and test equipment to engineering drawings and technical specifications
• Carry out servicing, maintenance and refurbishment work to a high standard
• Complete inspection records, job sheets and test documentation
• Support workshop operations while ensuring quality, safety and efficiency
• Attend customer sites across the UK and overseas for installation, servicing and repair activities
• Work independently and as part of a close-knit engineering team

About You

• Experience in mechanical maintenance, equipment servicing, fitting or repair
• Exposure to hydraulic systems would be advantageous
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Pride in delivering high-quality workmanship
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
• Flexible approach with a willingness to travel when required
• Positive attitude and keen to develop new technical skills
