You will have the opportunity to make a real impact on team development, productivity, quality and workplace safety within an established business.

If you are an experienced manufacturing leader who can bring strong people management skills, a continuous improvement mindset and a commitment to health and safety, we would love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage and motivate production teams to achieve operational targets and maintain high standards of performance.
  • Oversee the day-to-day running of production lines, ensuring operations are organised, efficient and start on time.
  • Coach, develop and appraise Team Leaders, supporting their performance and progression.
  • Monitor production output, productivity, quality and reject levels, identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean manufacturing techniques and Kaizen principles.
  • Ensure production schedules, resources and stock are effectively managed to meet customer requirements.
  • Maintain quality standards, product specifications and traceability procedures.
  • Promote a strong health and safety culture, ensuring safe working practices, risk assessments and compliance requirements are maintained.
  • Work closely with other departments to resolve operational issues, minimise bottlenecks and improve efficiency.
  • Ensure high standards of hygiene, housekeeping and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) are maintained.
  • Address performance and employee-related issues professionally, supporting a positive and accountable working environment.

What we are Looking For

  • Proven experience in a production management or supervisory leadership role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong people management skills, with the ability to motivate, coach and develop teams.
  • A track record of achieving production targets, improving productivity and managing operational performance.
  • Good knowledge of Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement and problem-solving techniques.
  • A strong understanding of health and safety legislation, risk assessments and safe working practices.
  • Health and safety qualifications or accreditations would be highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of quality control, GMP, hygiene and product traceability.
  • Excellent organisational, communication and decision-making skills.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and work collaboratively across departments.
