Telford | Office Based with Regular Travel to a Second Site | Up to £55,000 + Bonus Scheme + Excellent Benefits

We're partnering with a successful and growing SME operating within the supply chain, distribution and packaging sector to recruit a Quality & Compliance Manager. This is an excellent opportunity to take full ownership of Quality, Compliance and Health & Safety across two sites, reporting directly to senior leadership and playing a key role in the future growth of the business.

This is a hands-on role with genuine autonomy. You'll be trusted to shape, improve and lead the compliance function, ensuring quality, safety and regulatory standards remain at the heart of the operation.

The Opportunity

As Quality & Compliance Manager, you'll become the subject matter expert for all aspects of Quality, Compliance and Health & Safety. Working closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Finance and Commercial teams, you'll drive continuous improvement, lead audits, manage compliance systems and ensure the business remains customer and audit ready.

The business already holds several recognised certifications and has ambitious growth plans. They're looking for someone who can take ownership, simplify processes and build strong relationships across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the company's Quality, Compliance and Health & Safety function across multiple sites
  • Maintain and develop ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems
  • Manage BRCGS standards, internal audits and external certification audits
  • Own Health & Safety activities including risk assessments, training, inspections, inductions and accident investigations
  • Manage customer compliance questionnaires and supplier approval processes
  • Oversee regulatory compliance relating to packaging and environmental legislation
  • Maintain product, supplier and technical documentation
  • Investigate quality issues and implement corrective and preventative actions
  • Track and report KPIs, compliance performance and improvement activities to senior leadership
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement and accountability throughout the business

About You

We're keen to speak with individuals who have:

  • Experience managing BRCGS systems, ideally within Storage & Distribution, Logistics, Packaging, Manufacturing or FMCG environments
  • Hands-on ownership of ISO management systems including ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001
  • Strong Health & Safety management experience within an operational environment
  • Experience leading internal and external audits
  • Excellent problem-solving and stakeholder management skills
  • A practical, hands-on approach with the ability to influence colleagues at all levels
  • IOSH, NEBOSH or Lead Auditor qualifications would be advantageous

What's in it for You?

  • Salary up to £55,000
  • Profit share/bonus scheme
  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
  • Full ownership of Quality, Compliance and Health & Safety across the business
  • Direct access to senior leadership and decision-makers
  • Opportunity to shape and improve systems and processes
  • Varied role covering Quality, Compliance, Regulatory Affairs and Health & Safety
  • Stable, growing business with genuine long-term prospects

This opportunity would suit an established Quality Manager, Compliance Manager, Technical Manager or QHSE Manager seeking a role with real ownership, visibility and the ability to make a lasting impact on a growing business.
