Job Title: Building Surveying Manager

Location: Ipswich, Suffolk

Salary: £51,000 per annum

Type: Permanent, Full-Time

We are seeking a Building Surveying Manager to lead a technical surveying team in Ipswich on behalf of a public sector organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of building surveyors and technical officers.

• Oversee capital projects, planned maintenance, and structural compliance across property and housing portfolios.

• Act as Contract Administrator / Employer's Agent on major works (JCT/NEC).

• Diagnose structural defects and manage damp/mould remediation programmes.

• Manage capital budgets, gateway reports, and contractor performance.

Requirements:

• MRICS, MCIOB, or AssocRICS (or equivalent public sector surveying experience).

• Strong background in contract administration and building pathology.

• Proven team management and budget handling experience.

• Full UK Driving Licence and proximity to Ipswich.

Package:

• Salary: £51,000 per annum
