Business Development Manager

I am working with a leading international law firm in the search for a Business Development Manager to support its Capital Markets & Investment Funds practice. This is a high-profile role partnering closely with senior lawyers to drive client development, market positioning and strategic growth.

Key responsibilities:

• Partner with practice leadership to develop and deliver business development and client growth strategies.
• Lead pitches, proposals and panel appointments, ensuring high-quality and competitive submissions.
• Identify and drive cross-selling and client relationship opportunities across the firm.
• Support key client programmes, account planning and targeted business development initiatives.
• Manage practice group marketing activities, thought leadership campaigns and events.
• Oversee budgets, reporting and business planning for the practice.
• Support partner lateral integration and strategic growth projects.

Key requirements:

• Significant business development experience within a law firm or professional services environment.
• Strong pitch, client development and stakeholder management skills.
• Commercially minded with the ability to influence senior partners and business leaders.
• Excellent communication, project management and organisational skills.
• Experience supporting transactional, finance or funds-related practices is advantageous.
