QA Team Leader – Food Manufacturing
Ilminster, Somerset
Circa £34,000
Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm
Ready to take the next step in Quality Assurance?
We’re looking for a proactive QA Team Leader to join our Technical team at our food manufacturing site near Ilminster.
If you have food manufacturing experience, a keen eye for detail and a passion for product quality and food safety, this is an excellent opportunity to develop your leadership skills and make a real impact.
Working closely with Production and Technical colleagues, you’ll help maintain high standards, support audit compliance and drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.
What you’ll be doing
- Ensuring products meet quality specifications and food safety standards.
- Investigating out-of-specification products and supporting corrective actions.
- Coordinating GMP audits and supporting internal and external audits.
- Monitoring KPIs and identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Supporting the day-to-day running of the QA team, including absence and holiday cover.
- Working collaboratively with Production to maintain quality and operational efficiency.
What we’re looking for
- Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment.
- Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail.
- A flexible, organised approach and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting.
- Team leadership experience is desirable.
- Food Safety, HACCP or Internal Auditing qualifications are an advantage.
