Full Time | 37.5 hours per week | Site based

Salary is £75,000 - £85,000 per annum

Main duties of the job

As Speciality Doctor, you will play a key part in patient recovery, supporting the assessment and delivery of tailored treatment plans while ensuring dignity, respect, and high standards of care. Your responsibilities will include:

• Deliver high-quality psychiatric assessment, diagnosis and treatment for patients with complex mental health needs, ensuring safe, evidence-based and person-centred care.
• Take clinical responsibility for a defined caseload, leading the development, implementation and review of individualised treatment plans.
• Work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team (MDT), contributing to ward rounds, case reviews and discharge planning to support positive patient outcomes.
• Undertake comprehensive risk assessments and maintain accurate, timely clinical records in line with professional, legal and organisational standards.
• Provide clinical leadership, supervision and guidance to junior medical staff and contribute to teaching, quality improvement and clinical governance activities.
• Ensure compliance with GMC standards, the Mental Health Act, the Mental Capacity Act and Priory policies, while supporting continuous service development and excellence in patient care.
