A salary is paid across every week of the year, holidays included, so the hourly rate is the annual salary divided by weekly hours times 52.14 weeks (365 days ÷ 7). Monthly pay is the annual figure divided by 12; daily pay assumes a five-day week.
If you are paid only for the hours you work, holiday pay is on top of the hourly rate and is usually worked out at 12.07% of hours worked for irregular-hours workers.
