About the Role

We are looking for a friendly, reliable Care Assistant to join a supportive care team in Shrewsbury. You will help people with their daily living, supporting them to stay comfortable, independent and dignified in their own home or within a residential setting.

No previous care experience is needed. Full training is given, and you will be supported by experienced colleagues from your first day. What matters most is a caring attitude, reliability and a genuine willingness to learn.

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting people with personal care, meals, medication prompts and daily routines
• Helping people to stay independent and involved in their own care
• Building warm, trusting relationships with the people you support and their families
• Keeping accurate, respectful care records
• Working closely with senior carers, nurses and other professionals
• Following care plans and raising any concerns promptly

What Success Looks Like

• The people you support feel safe, respected and well cared for
• Care records are accurate and up to date
• You are a reliable, valued member of the team

Person Specification

• A caring, patient and dependable nature
• Good communication skills and a friendly manner
• Willingness to work towards a Care Certificate and further qualifications
• Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including some weekends
• Previous care experience is welcome but not essential
