Drainage Operative / Groundworker

Birmingham Temporary Contract Starting Soon Social Housing

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Drainage Operative / Groundworker to join a Housing Association, working across properties in Birmingham and the surrounding areas.
This is a temporary position starting soon and would suit someone with a strong background in drainage and groundworks who is confident carrying out both blockage removals and drainage repairs.

Duties will include:

• Carrying out drainage repairs and maintenance
• Using high-pressure jetting equipment to clear blockages
• Investigating and resolving drainage issues
• Excavating and repairing damaged drainage and pipework
• Replacing drainage runs where required
• General groundworks associated with drainage repairs
• Working safely in and around occupied residential properties

The ideal candidate:

• Previous experience within drainage / groundworks
• Previous experience using drain jetting equipment is essential
• Confident carrying out drainage and pipe repairs
• Previous social housing or responsive repairs experience would be advantageous
• Full UK driving licence
• Reliable, professional and comfortable working around tenants
