About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Care Assistant to take a leading role within a supportive care team in Shrewsbury. You will lead shifts, support and guide care assistants, and make sure the people in your care receive the highest standard of support.

This is a great next step for an experienced care assistant who wants more responsibility, better pay and a clear route into management.

Key Responsibilities

• Leading shifts and supporting care assistants day to day
• Delivering and overseeing high-quality personal care
• Administering or prompting medication in line with care plans
• Writing and reviewing care plans and keeping accurate records
• Being a point of contact for families and health professionals
• Supporting new starters with induction and training

Person Specification

• Experience in a care role, ideally with some senior or leadership responsibility
• A caring, organised and dependable approach
• Good communication and record-keeping skills
• A relevant care qualification (or willingness to work towards one)
• Flexibility across a range of shifts
