Free courses, with the certificate question answered
Most lists of “free courses with certificates” are wrong about the certificate. Coursera and edX let you study free and charge for the certificate; Google and HubSpot give theirs away. Of the 16 courses here, 7 include a genuinely free certificate and the rest say plainly what they cost.

Free data analytics coursesData analytics is the most searched free-course topic in Nigeria, and also the one with the most misleading listings — half the courses advertised as “free with certificate” are free to watch and charge for the certificate. How these are chosen
- The certificate cost is checked, not assumed. Every entry states whether the certificate is free, paid, or paid on top of free material.
- Nothing is here because it paid to be. No affiliate links, no sponsorship, no revenue from any provider on these pages.
- Recognition matters more than length. A short certificate a Lagos hiring manager has heard of beats forty hours from a platform they have not.
- Dated, because terms change. Providers move courses behind subscriptions without warning, so the review date is on every page.
